The tasks of this N.G.O. is the schooling and education of the garbage dump children of Phnom Pehn: currently int he different programes (schooling, on-the-job and university education) there are over 6500 children. There are complementary activities taking place such us nutrition and first aid as well as incorporation to the profesional world.
La actividad de la O.N.G. es la escolarización de niños que provienen del basurero de Phnom Pehn: actualmente en los distintos programas (escolarización, formación profesional o universitaria) hay más de 6500 niños acogidos. Realizan además actividades complementarias como nutrición y primeros auxilios o planes de incorporación al mercado laboral.
Additionally, every year from Spain there are camps beings financed in July and August to Camboya, so that in turns of a week time the children (that are oficially in school hollydays (to them it means going back to live in the shacks of the garbage dump) so that they can play, and most importantly eat and receive medical attention, those day, they can also receive the rice that is given to them and their families all around the year also.
Adicionalmente, cada año financian desde España y organizan durante julio y agosto distintos “Camps” en Camboya para que, en turnos de una semana, los niños (que están oficialmente en vacaciones escolares (para ellos significa volver a vivir en sus chabolas del basurero) puedan jugar, y sobretodo comer y recibir atención sanitaria, también durante esos días, como el resto del año, pueden recibir el arroz que entregamos para las familias.
This summer over 5360 children have come to the N.G.O. camp centers and have received the help of 143 camboyan and 81 european volunteer instructors.
Este verano han pasado por los distintos centros durante el verano 5360 niños, han contado con la ayuda de 81 monitores voluntarios europeos y 143 camboyanos.
